A Little Bit About Me

Hi, I’m Cy!
I’m a Filipina born in Naga City, Camarines Sur, raised in Laguna, and now living in the U.S.
Food has always been one of the ways I stay connected to home. The Filipino dishes I grew up eating still make their way into my kitchen, but they’re not the only things I cook.
Here on The Filipina Cy, I share Filipino recipes, everyday family favorites, and whatever else is worth making again. Some recipes come with memories of home, some are things I’ve picked up along the way, and some are simply recipes my family loves.
I also share stories about Filipino food and culture—the little things that remind me where I came from and the traditions I want to keep alive.
So whether you came here looking for pancit, lumpia, adobo, or even a loaf of homemade honey wheat bread, I’m glad you’re here.
